Free New Years Video Reveals The #1 Marketing Question For 2008

Now… do you want to be a “Show-Stopper” in 2008 and grow, expand and multiply your sales, income and overall business?

    Hello Stephen and I appreciate this video clip delivering a very valuable messsage regarding competing in the right environment and a key question – where can I win? In the past couple of years I have reflected a great deal on my experiences with companies that I have worked with as well as many others. My view today is that those who truely excel are driven by leaders who belong in that business – leaders who love having the business work for them.

    It is very important for anyone who is in business to make sure that is where they belong. Because if the answer is no, I don’t care if you are a bear in the middle of the woods facing an gator, you are going to get your butt kicked if you don’t want to be there and the alligator is on purpose.

    I believe the key is making sure that what you do is satisfying your personal dreams and desires. If it does you will find all the tools to help you enjoy that game. You will also not be attached to the results of the game. We all can be happy regardless of who wins the game.

    On his deathbed Andrew Carnegie said he would give up all his wealth in exchange for marital happiness. The key is being grateful for what we have and pursuing with passion our dreams and desires.

    As business advisors and consultants we miss the mark when we focus on great tools for helping improve business performance but do nothing to help the business leader understand what it really is that makes her or him happy – all the time.     I think I read a comment someone had about how to figure out where you can win…well my thoughts on that is start where you are now. Start with where you THINK you can win and adjust from there. I love the question…where can I win? Definitely a question to have fun with. This is one of those questions that I would ask a staff (if I had one). It could be sooo simple. For me as a trainer, I can win with baby entrepreneurs, I can win with folks who need the info I have, I can win with people who are confused about what to do next in their businesses…this is definitely a fun question and can really open a lot of doors!     hmmm… to carry the metaphors further: should I be the crocodile
    in one environment and change to the bear in another…? I do have
    both strengths and weaknesses which may be more advantageous in
    two different environments…

    In the lead up to this video, you said that the question of “Where can you win?”, is the single most important question we need to answer if we are to be successful in 2008. If we get the answer wrong, we will waste time and money going in the wrong direction.

    One of the secrets of your great teaching lies within the questions you ask. This simple video becomes profound by the question, “Where Can I Win?” All to often, we ask the “How. . .” “Where. . .” is a great reminder.

    Hi Stephen
    I agree with most of your points in the video. I do think that you can choose which environment in which to operate and to a certain extent control or change it to give you an advantage e.g. beavers build dams, irrigation systems also can have a big effect on environments. As always things are relative.
    I also think what is said about competing is not necessarily the best way of going about business (hey but what do I know?, I am here to learn and share) I am more in favor of WIN WIN businesses so all parties benefit and there are no losers. As regards running the wrong way, isn’t that what most people have always done according to the statistics?

    You also talk about marketing the product. You say that marketing is very important but what if you have no experience in marketing. Then what?

    Do you mean marketing your business in articles, blogs or forum. Is it advertising in the internet or what. I know I am asking a little dumb question but can you explain more on how marketing can be done if you have no experience in the field.
    You are good in marketing your product because you have knowledge on how to do it. Not lots of people have marketing knowledge like you so can you help us or anyone in this talkback who don’t have any experience in marketing.
