While the word “easy” is used rather loosely these days to peddle products, there are some things that are truly just flat out easy.

..and placing online classified ads to generate website traffic is one of them.

There are actually three benefits from placing classified ads online.

Direct traffic from your classified ads.
Links back to your site from your classified ads.
Page 1 & 2 Search engine positions. (Yep! This too.)

Okay so maybe your scratching your head trying to figure out how you can get page 1 & 2 search engine positions from placing classified ads.

You’re basic using a different backdoor and standing on the shoulders of the classified ad sites.

So, I’ll give you the short explanation and then the simple 5 steps to making it happen.

The classified sites that I’m going to recommend you start with are also authority sites and with a properly done “article ad” you can have your classified ad appearing on page 1 & 2 of Google… quickly. I’ve seen it happen in less than 5 hours using the 5 steps below.

How do you do it?

Simple.

Write a short version of your and a long version (long version being 350 words or so, use your primary keyword).
Post both the short version and long version.
Grab the direct url link to the long version of your ad.
Ping that long version classified ad url at www.Pingler.com.
Social bookmark that same url using your favorite social bookmarking website or program.

That’s it… watch the results.

Speaking of results, the results will vary from ad to ad, market to market, and keyword to keyword.

However following the above 5 steps when placing online classified ads will juice them up in a major way.

A side by side comparison shows more traffic to classified ads following the 5 step process above, then those placed without it.

Of course you can do your own test and see which works better for you and decide which route to go.

All things being consider you must have a compelling ad.

So, whatever your route, I suggest you get to it.

Hi Stephen,

Powerful stuff!

Here you are killing two birds with one stone… Direct traffic from the classified ad and high ranking in Search Engines.

The second one is easier because when you ping the URL of your ad lot of Search Engines are notified and when you social bookmark it you get lot of links pointing back to your site.

But in order to get direct traffic from your ad you need a powerful and compelling ad. The headline is the most important thing here and it does the 80% of the work.

So it is crucial to write lot of headlines and narrow them down… You never run with the first headline that comes to your mind.

Run the same ad with different headlines to see which one is doing better.

OK, I am a newbie, but I have a couple questions re: your steps, that I did not understand.

Step 2: Do you submit both the long & short ads to the same ad sites at the same time?

Step 4: So after you submit your ad, you get an url, then go to Pingler & enter that url?

Optimization on Your Ck List: What automated submission software do you use or recommend to submit the ads
