“I Refuse to Tolerate this Anymore. What About You?” Frankly, it’s a real struggle. I have always suspected that I invent my own experiences, as you and several others have proposed for a long time, but I have been vehemently dissuaded from this personal credo since early childhood. However, I am constantly working at shedding the thoughts and “wisdom” that others- in their fear- have tried to impart to me because of their own accepted concept, “Fear=Safety”. Your sessions are encouragements to over light what we intuitively and inherently know!
Fear has prevented me from adding my thoughts to a community blog like this until now, but your words were powerful. The speech of my friend, Coffee Bell, in Washington Square, Newport, RI 2003, addressed the capacity of inner knowledge as well as exemplified the method of keeping us in check through fear. Her speech pointed out the negative programming that influences every aspect of our lives from those who either want control of our behaviors as citzens, or more insidiously, want control of our thoughts in order to support their own misguided agenda: “Fear=Control”. Although she was talking about the impending invasion of Iraq and how we can be influenced by a prominent figure, her quote from Herman Goering, a Nazi military leader in WWII- ironically a Christian of Jewish descent- demonstrated that fear encourages us to stay in comfortable compliance in order to support accepted beliefs.
“… “It is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them you are being attacked, and denounce the Peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
I know this quote is framed in historical world politics, but it addresses why it is so important to embrace the authentic core of our individual selves so that we can outwardly extend this benefit to others and, as a consequence, positively impact our own personal and business lives. Thanks Stephen.

Hello sir, A word rightly spoken is just like a picture of gold in eyes of a silver.
And one thing i belive is that, Decision are made in a moment; growth, development, and lifestyle are recquire through commitment, and discipline. Have desided to step forward in life i.e to from toleration to celebration of life.
Yours Sincerely.
Thanks

Hi Stephen,
Great Talkback. Very inspiring as always!
Celebration is key to rewarding ourselves even when there is no reason.
We do not have to have a reason to Celebrate. Today is the first day of the rest of our lives and surely that is good cause to Celebrate.
Hey we’re part of the A T.E.A.M. (together everybody achieves more)and thats another thing to Celebrate.
We have to have rain in our lives to appreciate the sunshine and then we Celebrate the day.
Have an excellent day

I agree with you Stephen. We must take care in what we feed our eyes and ears. It all has an impact, so I TOTALLY love the fact that you have shared these quotes with us. They are inspiring and stimulating.
Another thing – I with the statement that “LIFE BEGINS AT THE END OF THE COMFORT ZONE”. The way I see it, to rephrase, ALL learning occurs beyond the comfort zone, that is, the stretch zone as I call it. Then, as the areas we have been stretched become comfortable, our comfort zone gets bigger, which is just another way of saying, our life gets bigger or is enriched….
cheers, Mark
