Just Brilliant!!
I’m in the process of conceptualizing a membership site based on being accountable for our goals and dreams. I hadn’t really looked at it as a “Mastermind Group” until I listened in today. This really puts a “finer point” on my idea.
In addition to that, it confirms the fact that I need a Mastermind Group, myself – in order to get my membership site off the ground.
Thanks for the inspiration and also for the tips about where to find a Mastermind Group.

Dear Stephen,
This is so uncanny, What a great topic,, I joined The Mentors Club, last week, and my whole life has changed since..
I’m pretty sure you must have heard of this, because I am sure they have mentioned your name in the members area.. haven’t been through it all yet..
I cannot believe I tried to do it all on my own for the last almost three years, DOH!
You are the only “internet guru” I still follow, but having access to so many great people in the Mentors Club, is simply mind blowing..
Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hanson, and so many others,, having mentors like yourself, is truly changing peoples lives.. and I love what you do, and am eternally greatful to you and for DT Alpha too.
Because I am sure that played a huge part in me being open to attract the mentors club, & finding my passion. What a great feeling that is.
Hope to meet you in person one day, so I can thank you personally.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You,
Dianne in NZ

Mastermind group is very important to see different perspectives.

Hi Stephen,
I must say that You made yet another great talkback. However I did not like it one bit, because it hits me right smack in the face with sort of a personal conflict.
First of all I really do believe in the power of a mastermind group and I have a decent understanding of what it is all about. – I think we have all tried masterminding in different situations throughout our lives and I think most people would agree, that a group working towards a common interest is more powerful than an individual making an attempt. But furthermore I believe that only a few people ever really thought about utilising that advantage in more important areas of their life like their success, prosperity, happiness and so on. – The best example that I can come up with in regards of where we have all had a taste of masterminding, would be back in school when doing group projects or assignments. So masterminding is not really completely unfamiliar to anyone.
Now my personal conflict is, that my experience with group projects etc. in school was kind of negative. Most of the time I would get stuck with the most unmotivated students in my class and end up practically pulling the load on my own anyway; either that or I would get stuck with the wizz kids who went 200 miles per hour leaving absolutely me clueless and none the wiser. – Now I did have positive experiences with this sometimes where things were just in sync, – but the negative and unproductive experiences kind of blocks them out and probably made the biggest impact on me. So the latter years in school I absolutely HATED working in groups! I just wanted to follow my own face without struggling to either get people moving or to keep up myself.
So the deal is, that when I am faced with the idea of masterminding I kind of reflect back on that and my inner self cries; “NO WAY!” But at the same time I really do realise the potential and power of a positive group working in sync because I did experience that. But also I am a very selfreliant kind of person – I solve my own problems and I hardly ever ask for help or guidance; I seek it out myself. And whenever someone else has interfered with my interests… well they pretty much ended up really screwing things up for me and after they screwed things up, then I was the one who un-screwed it again and in the end I wished that those people would have minded their own business.
The point is, that on a personal level I have usually experienced negative results as a result of people getting in my business; or to use my words “getting in my way”. And since I am always the solution to the problem caused by them, I have this idea stuck in my head that I do not need other people because other people cause me problems and not solutions.
On an intellectual level I know better than that. But in my heart of hearts, this is what I feel and I believe that this keeps me away from engaging in a mastermind group or otherwise seeking help and guidance personally.
I do realise, however, that the people I used to associate was not really mastermind material… well maybe in AA meetings or group therapy to help them deal with the cascade of personal problem they were dumping on me. – And for the record I absolutely had issues on my own; I was and is not better than them, just different. But the point is, that it does make perfect sense why my appempts to cooperate with other people has failed so brutally in the past and being in the position that I have today, I have the awareness to know that a potential mastermind group absolutely must consist of like-minded individuals – people who actually wants to make a life rather than just settling for survival at best.
… I am kind of going on and on here; but I really use these talkbacks to also kind of talk some things through with myself and express the thoughs and feelings that come to me as a result of the talkback.
Anyway! I appriciate the advise You have given on masterminding and I can see that others on the talkback have a few things to say about it as well and that kind of gives me a place to start when I decide to start… and start. (Deciding to do something is not the same as doing it).
But like I said, I really do not like this particular talkback one bit. It really touches a very difficult issue that I am actually affraid to engage. It reminds me that there is a conflict of interest and it takes away my comfortable illustion that I do not need other people to progress and a part of me absolutely hates that. However the wiser and better-knowing part of me applaus this particular talkback; I can almost hear myself saying; – “Way to go Stephen; hit me in the fact with the thing that I do not want in my face!” That just goes to show that there are two sides to everything, this talkback included: I absolutely hate it and I absolutely love it!
My honest conclusion is that sooner or later I am going to have to take the bull by the horns and either create- or join a mastermind group. At least I do have the understanding that it is an absolute must!
Well I sure have a lot to learn and a lot of things to implement in my life. But at least I have come a long way from where I was and these talkbacks sure gives me a lot of information and inspiration about how to grow that and get to where I want to eventually end up. I have to admit that just getting to “here” on my own has been exhausting and I feel very sure that there is a better and dare I say it; easier way to move further and quite possibly masterminding is the way or at least a component of that better way.
Finally I would just like to thank You for sharing some more insights from Napoleon Hill himself. I think it is quite a treat You have given us.
Kind regards
Jimmi

I was very surprised to hear his voice for the first time. I have read his book multiple times and I deeply believe in the mastermind principle.
I look forward to masterminding with individuals all the time now. I have a very good mastermind group as we speak. I am grateful that I found this book years ago because it helped to change my way of thinking
